We’re now back in London with a check-in-sized bag full of noises. We will now begin the somewhat daunting task of listening through to everything and working out what will go and what will stay. It then needs to be mixed. This may all take some time. We’re working on some album artwork and a video based on the recent BBC documentary ‘Afterlife: The Strange Science of...

There doesn’t seem to be any other way to reply other than publicly and here, and they are awesome and deserve the props, so Hi Wayne and Penny! Hope all is well with you and yours, and we’re very much looking forward to seeing you both again sometime soon - Happy Holidays, and very many fond thoughts (and memories of strawberries) from all of us.

That’s Dan watching Alistair Campbell play bagpipes at a charity auction. I’d quite like to write about it. One day. Anyway.  In the next sometime soon/week or so, this is going to become the temporary (unless it goes really well) default site for Veils activity. Don’t bother adjusting your sets, we’re going to tie this to the bumper of .com with some heavy duty electrical...

clientsfromhell: Client: “I bought this Mac from you only 18 months ago, and it’s not working anymore. This is ridiculous!” Me: (upon inspection) “Well, if you see here, the insides are pretty well full of Coca-Cola.” Client: “That’s impossible. I drink Pepsi.” Just…..that’s me except I didn’t say anything about it being ridiculous, and I do definitely enjoy coke.  Word to...

Never eat plants with thorns. Steer clear of plants with shiny leaves. Don’t eat mushrooms. Many are safe to eat, but many are highly toxic and even deadly, so it’s not worth the risk. Umbrella-shaped flowers are a bad sign. Stay away from these plants. Don’t eat plants with white or yellow berries. If the plant’s sap is milky or discolored, leave it alone. Avoid...

whateverorwhateveretc: 1. There is a zoo in England, they have chimpanzees. One of the chimpanzees is called ‘Grant’. 2. Gympie High School in Queensland once made all their students and staff come to school dressed as The Crocodile Hunter to pay tribute to his passing. 3. Today I remixed a song by The Veils, by remix i mean recorded myself whistling along to it. It sounds incredible. No...

This is a short documentary about Juggalos.  What I’m thinking, having watched this, is isn’t the Gathering of the Juggalos the exact same thing as Burning Man, with different accents and a slightly darker aesthetic?  Like, really. The exact same. Except Burning Man is holy grail and Gathering is holy joke? For some….reason….
